iPhone 4S

The Apple iPhone 4S may be one of the most hyped products in history. Offering excellent data transfer speeds, a lightning-fast processor, voice recognition software and high-performing HD still and video cameras, this model raises the smartphone bar that much higher. Generally speaking, cell phone reviewers have hailed the iPhone 4S as the gold standard of the smartphone industry. It has incredible capabilities and top of the line multimedia supports. In short, it does things that no other smartphone ever made can do.

However, the iPhone 4S is limited by an inability to add additional memory. You’ll have to make do with the built-in internal memory, but considering you can purchase up to 64 GB to start with and the fact that Apple offers iPhone 4S owners access to the iCloud, file storage shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Specifications:

  • Processor: Dual-core A5
  • Internal memory: 16, 32 or 64 GB (optional)
  • Expandable memory: None
  • Talk time: 480 minutes
  • Standby time: 200 hours
  • Multimedia: 1080p resolution HD video camera, 8 megapixel front and rear cameras with variable aperture size, built-in iPad Touch
  • Screen size: 3.5 inches

iPhone 4

Until the iPhone 4S came along, the iPhone 4 was the near-unanimous choice for the top smartphone on the market, according to industry experts. The major differences between the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S are that the earlier model has a camera that takes slightly lower resolution photos, reduced talk and battery time (it lasts only a single day on a full charge) and is only available with a maximum of 32 GB of storage space. However, if you don’t want to pay a pretty penny for the extra features of the 4G, the iPhone 4 makes a high-performing alternative.

Specifications:

  • Processor: Dual-core A5
  • Internal memory: maximum of 32 GB
  • Expandable memory: None
  • Talk time: 420 minutes
  • Standby time: 300 hours
  • Multimedia: HD video with built-in editing capabilities, 5 megapixel rear camera, iOS 4 operating system supporting thousands of apps
  • Screen size: 3.5 inches
